Woodward Middle School (WMS) serves students in 7th and 8th grade. The middle school fosters a creative and challenging learning environment where students, staff, and families are committed to building meaningful relationships. At Woodward, teachers encourage personal growth and self-discovery through innovative instruction and engaging activities, while celebrating diversity and promoting community partnerships.

Woodward Middle School centers around three core values: compassion, connection, and integrity. The core values are taught throughout the year. Student reinforcement systems are centered on the values to provide student-specific recognition when they show compassion, connection, and/or integrity. This year, the school community is working to implement clear behavior expectations and increase opportunities for positive student recognition. Student voice is highlighted through administrator/counselor led Student Leadership Teams for both 7th and 8th grade. Restorative practices are prioritized during minor and major disciplinary actions to put teaching at the forefront of any challenging situation. WMS also has two counselors who work closely to support students’ social and emotional well-being and who work in partnership with families.
